The most underestimated vegan meals are the rice dishes. Now why would that be? Well if you look at what rice is, you will research that it is a filler food. The fact that it holds little nutrients, holds back vegan cookers. Most vegans take pride in having only nutritious ingredients in every meal. However, if we look at it from a holistic perspective, rice can be very beneficial.
As a foodie, I not only take into account the nutritional value, but the taste, and whether it will keep me full for a couple hours. Rice is an excellent ingredient for spices to absorb into. Which really helps with blasting in flavor! Plus, I love that this dish can keep me full and satisfied for a couple of hours. May you find a balance in nutrition and overall food enjoyment!

HOLISTIC TIP OF THE DAY: When you eat food, I suggest to take into consideration how the food will make you feel emotionally and physically. We are sensitive creatures. We know how food effects us, start to make some decisions that will bring your body and soul joy.

I’m an intuitive eater, so I listen to my body. It began to really show me that I needed to make a change in my diet. Meat and dairy began to make me feel miserable.
My vegan path might have started with making some health improvements, but since then I have been curious to how others embrace the vegan lifestyle. I’ve seen some documentaries like Cowspiracy, Food Choices, and more. Therefore my eyes have really been opened up to how animals are treated and how the livestock agricultural industry has been killing the environment big time.
