You can not underestimate the lovely combo of beans and veggies! If you think about the meal as a whole, you get flavor in very bite. From the seasoned bell peppers, potatoes, onions, and mushrooms, to the iron rich bean dip. Yum, yum, yum.

HOLISTIC TIP OF THE DAY: Veggies come from mother earth, we are eating the earth in every meal. In that sense, we are a part of the earth. Our body breaks down the earth and fuses the nutrients it needs to our cells. We must remember that we are apart of everything. We may eat the earth now, but when we die, she eats our decaying body, as we leave this vessel. It truly is the circle of life in every meal.
Being vegan means something a little different to all of us, we all have a unique journey. I became vegan by the shear force of my body’s communication. I’m an intuitive eater, so I listen to my body. It began to really show me that I needed to make a change in my diet. Meat and dairy began to make me feel miserable.
My vegan path might have started with making some health improvements, but since then I have been curious to how others embrace the vegan lifestyle. I’ve seen some documentaries like Cowspiracy, Food Choices, and more. Therefore my eyes have really been opened up to how animals are treated and how the livestock agricultural industry has been killing the environment big time.
